Boy do kids (including me, now age 79) fail to get into Dad's head.
Upon the recent death of my sister, I came across the only photo I've ever seem
of Dad as a young person (and I don't mean really young, like age 12, I mean
cap-and-gown wearing grad).
I could kick myself for not understanding his fears.
Was thinking yesterday I would call a few folks to remind them to do what they can for their fathers today. Now I'll just be lazy and re-stack this to my subscribers. Hope that's legal!
Hope I can figure out the logistics!
Thank you, and Hello to your popcorn-sales assistant!
Thank you, Aleander. That is eloquent. If I were your dad, i would have needed a box of kleenex to get through it! Deep Truth.
Thank you, Uncle Tony. That means a lot.
Hey Alex, I just read this article and I really enjoyed it. Thank you so much!
Thank you, Mrs. Larcomb! I’m really glad you read it and enjoyed it. That means a lot.
So beautiful!
Profound without heaviness.
Tender without sentimentality.
Deeply moving because you describe my own father almost exactly.. minus the scouting references.
He will be 96 in October with grace.
Thank you, Alex.
And thank you, Dad.
Sean, this means a lot. Thank you for sharing your father here.
Thank you son. I really cherish your words, support and love. May God continue to guide you through your journey. Dad
Thank you, Dad. I love you. This piece is for you.
Best pro-Dad thing I've ever read.
